What does the future hold?

Obama poll

July seems to have been a month of surprises, first Gov. Palin announced her resignation from the governor’s office, then we have Nancy Pelosi trying to ram through a healthcare bill that even democrats have said they don’t understand and have not read. We have even seen Pres. Obama being compared to Pres. Jimmy Carter. A Washington post article by Matt Welch and Nick Gillespie on July 19. They start off their article with “Barely six months into his presidency, Barack Obama seems to be driving south into that political speed trap known as Carter Country: a sad-sack landscape in which every major initiative meets not just with failure but with scorn from political allies and foes alike. According to a July 13 CBS News poll, the once-unassailable president’s approval rating now stands at 57 percent, down 11 points from April.” I remember sitting in gas lines with dad in the late 1970s. We would go to the gas station on a specific day based on the license plate number and we would often sit for hours waiting to pay $0.83 per gallon. Now, by today’s prices that is nothing, but think of what was going on at the time. According to http://www.thepeoplehistory.com in 1977 the Yearly Inflation Rate USA6.5% ; Year End Close Dow Jones Industrial Average 831 ; Interest Rates Year End Federal Reserve 7.75% ; Average Cost of new house $49,300.00; Average Income per year $15,000.00 ; Average Monthly Rent $240.00; and we had an oil crisis. Fast forward to today and the average look like this: Average Cost of new house ( 2008 ) $238,880; Average Cost for house rent( 2008 ) $800.00 per month; Average wages per year ( 2008 ) $40,523; Cost of a gallon of Gas ( May 2009 ) $2.051; Average Cost New Car ( 2008 ) $27,958; Average Cost Cents per kilowatthour Electricity ( Jan 2009 ) 11.03 cents.
The current rate of inflation is around 5.6% and is rising each month. Inflation is predicted to reach 12-15% by 2012. So what does any or all of this have to do with Sarah Palin stepping down as governor. Well, in my opinion, it has everything to do with it. Sarah Palin was not able to complete her term due to all the partisan politics being levied against her through frivolous ethic complaints. I also believe that she see all the damage that has been done in just 6 month of this new administration and she saw that there was nothing she could do while being in office. The choice, step aside so that Alaska could continue to progress again and free herself so that she can speak up for America.

So far, no one has spoken up enough against Pres. Obama’s agenda. V-P Biden has said on many occasions that they “misread” the economy. All of the elected officials seem to be missing the point that we the PEOPLE elected them to REPRESENT us and they are not doing their jobs when they vote on bills that they have not even read. I have to say that my Congressman Rob Wittman is one of the few who is standing up but as a new representative, he does not have the pull we need. I’m glad that he is representing me in the House but we need more. We need someone who grabs attention and who can create headline, that person is Sarah Palin. Should she choose to do so, she could the representative of the average Joes. She is now free to travel the country and the world to speak out and bring much needed attention to the hidden agendas. She has the ability to draw huge crowds and to speak to us in a way that we understand. This scares the daylights out of the left because that would expose the favors and the backdoor deals that they are trying to cram into the healthcare bill and Cap and Trade. She could make noise for them that would open the eyes of so many who voted based on party alone and not truly on personal values. We need this and I believe that America deserves to be fully represented and given a voice. You don’t need to be popular, rich or have a title to effect change. You just have to get out there and do it. If I could speak to Sarah Palin right now, I would tell her to get out there in any way she could: TV, radio, print; give speeches; be seen and speak you mind Sarah. Once her message (which is our message) is out there in the public realm it would go viral in no time, which is the last thing the left wants!
